Revdanda was a Portuguese base with a fort name agar fort. This fort is beside the sea and half of the fort is already washed away by the sea waves. Towers and walls and two gateway still surviving and become point of attraction for tourists.

Chaul was the major port that time for trade.Revdanda Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1524 for trade. which was later taken over by the Marathas and then by the British Raj. Everyone wanted to keep that place for themselves for business. The main business was trade in spices and some other things.

Revdanda Village and Local people

The area of ​​this fort is approximately 5 kilometers. The entire village is surrounded by a strong wall made of stones. A path has been cut through the wall for public access. This place is private property and the locals have built restaurants along with and selling homemade foods.

There is a old tunnel below the fort wall which is closed and not in use.
